Music in the Garden – Colin & Gerry (Jazz duo)

Our first Music In The Garden event of 2018 saw the talented jazz duo of Colin & Gerry perform to a garden full of appreciative listeners. The weather had remained hot and sunny and visitors crowded under the shade of the gazebo and trees in the garden to hear a selection of tunes for two hours.

Trish, Joy, Alan, Martin and the rest of the team did a marvellous job of providing refreshments and cakes to our visitors who obviously enjoyed the sustenance. The cafe team made over £100 for the museum through their efforts; well done. The museum was open and saw a steady stream of interested visitors plus many guests saw fit to donate to the museum when they left the garden, thank you one and all.

Don’t forget that there will be more free Music In The Garden every Sunday afternoon in August between 2-4 pm; next up is Mike Warwick on the 12th so why not come along and chill out for a couple of hours listening to him sing popular hits from the 50’s to the 90’s. The cafe will be open again to tempt you with hot and cold drinks plus delicious home-made cakes. Mmmmm!
