Music In The Museum Garden August 5th & 6th
A full weekend music programme in the Cottage Museum garden included Mike Warwick on the Saturday afternoon pleasing the assembled visitors with hits from the likes of Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison and Herman’s Hermits plus many others.
Sunday saw the return of the jazz duo Colin & Gerry who played jazz favourites from across the decades. The visitors really got into the swing of things and also made the most of the superb refreshments available from the courtyard cafe.
The music continues next Sunday at 2pm with Alan Bolt and his guitar playing acoustic, folk, Irish and pop songs from the 60’s and 70’s so why not pop along (excuse the pun) and enjoy a couple of hours of music reminiscing? As always Gladys and the courtyard cafe team will be on hand to provide refreshments which include tea or coffee for only £1 and cakes at either £1 or £2 each; and I can attest that they are all homemade and absolutely delicious!
All donations to the Cottage Museum are gratefully received. The museum will be open from 10:30 to 16:30 as usual with normal entrance costs applying, last entry 16:00.
